In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, h.h. gregg and several other retailers have agreed to voluntarily recall certain Coby 32" flat screen televisions, since the importer/distributer who would typically issue a recall is no longer in business.
Potential Hazard: Six incidents have been reported to the CPSC, involving the television overheating, smoking, or catching fire.
Recalled Product: Black Coby 32" flat screen televisions, model TFTV3229, with a serial number beginning with LG and that has M07 or M10 in the 9th, 10th, and 11th position. The model and serial numbers are printed on the back of the television and Coby is printed on the front. Remedy: Unplug and stop using the television immediately. If the television was purchased from h.h. gregg, then return the television to h.h. gregg and receive a $180 h.h. gregg gift card. The purchase must be verified by a receipt or h.h. gregg's database of purchases with proof of identity. View h.h. gregg electronics store locations. If you have a television included in this recall which was purchased from another retailer, then information as to the remedy available can be obtained from that retailer or from the Consumer Product Safety Commission at SaferProducts.gov.
